From this year, and up to 2016, Forrester Research estimates that traffic to banners will increase by 20% per year in monetary terms, compared to search marketing which will only increase by 12%.

“I think that the Forresters report on banner ads shows that the future is bright, but that banners must be utilized better,” says Christopher Engman in an article in Resumé.  Advertisers, especially in the consumer business, are completely correct in saying it’s hard to get clicks and difficult to measure how well you can build a brand with banners. But what if you use banners in the right place in the marketing and sales processes?

“… I have long experience of working with banner advertising for B2B companies, and I’m pretty sure that all advertisers should look carefully at each channel and media and its pros and cons. And get better at placing them in the right place in the chain. ”
